As a reminder, the new project submittal appointment process at the Division of the State Architect (DSA) starts in less than one week. On Monday, July 31, 2017, clients will begin scheduling project submittal dates six to eight weeks in advance of delivering project plans to DSA. If project plans are completed and ready before July 31, clients may submit them to DSA under the current system.
Starting on Monday, July 31, 2017, clients must schedule a project submittal date by submitting the new, required form DSA 1-REG: Registration for Project Submittal. DSA will register the project for submittal no later than six to eight weeks following submittal of the DSA 1-REG. DSA plan review will begin within five working days of project submittal.
During an interim period (from July 31 through September 11, 2017) clients may request to be notified in the event that an earlier appointment becomes available. To do so, check the appropriate box on the DSA 1-REG. If you have an urgent need to expedite your project, please contact your DSA Regional Office; however, please do not submit project plans before your registered project submittal date without DSA’s agreement.
