We would like to have a brief biography or CV for each person being nominated and photograph for addition into our ballot. You may also include a “campaign statement” not to exceed 50 words.

When we say big, we mean BIG! This single piece of 1/2″ thick glass measured in at 85″ x 302″ and weighed an astounding 1,300 lbs.! Check out these photos from Giroux showing the massive glass upon arrival and during install:

Important Notice! Time is Running Out!

DID YOU KNOW THAT: Under SB 854 INDEPENDENT PROJECT INSPECTORS ARE CONSIDERED “CONTRACTORS” and need to register with the DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS. The deadline for filing is FEBRUARY 28, 2015.

Beginning July 1, 2014, contractors must register and meet requirements using the online application before bidding on public works contracts in California. The application also provides agencies that administer public works programs with a searchable database of qualified contractors. Application and renewal are completed online with a non-refundable fee of $300.00. Read the SB 854 Fact Sheet for a complete list of requirements.
Contractors acquiring a public works contractor registration number should pay any fees and/or penalties if applicable by credit card. With a credit card payment, contractors can expect a registration number within 24 hours. Otherwise, any other form of payment will take up to eight weeks for verification of payment and may impact further fees and/or penalties.

Go to www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/PublicWorks.html for Online Application and Instructions for completing the form; or to learn more about contractor registration information and process, view a webinar or slide presentation. You may send an email regarding contractor registration to SB854@dir.ca.gov.

Please see attached SB854 Fact Sheet for more information.
